Of course, the microphone input has some gain, so you would like to turn it down a little, and turn up the sound on the external source. The Gigabyte UEFI on the Z77 chipset works natively with OS X power management- you dont need a DSDT to wake/sleep, and no kernel panics on power management whatsoever The reason for this lies with our unique UEFI BIOS coding, which allows for an OSX install without needing a DSDT file. If I record with line in, it get's a lot of crackling, and all sorts of bugs, but if I record with the microphone input, it works! (iPC 10.5.6 Final, or a pkg from the Internet.) I know it seems like a hassle but in my opinion it would be worth it to have everything working properly.īefore you go and do that, try deleting all the kexts that have to do with audio and then installing the ALC883 3 Ports package.

I would then update to 10.5.7 using the iDeneb 10.5.7 Combo Update and reinstall everything.

Select the Intel Chipset SATA drivers, default kernel (nothing selected), and the ALC883 sound patch along with any of the programs you want (definitely OSX86 Tools). Funny, Im working on my first Hackintosh right now, trying to get 10.6.7 sleeping correctly on a Gigabyte g31m-es2l (revision 2) motherboard, e3200 (2.4Ghz C2D Celeron), 2 GB RAM, 7950GT KO, 74GB.
I would backup everything you need on an external drive and completely reinstall OS X using the iDeneb 1.4 disk. Sadly, I saw no difference when I installed your files.
